In August 2010, nine friends from university are coming together to cycle across the UK in memory of their close friend Matt Elvidge with the aim of raising money for the Matt Elvidge Trust - A trust that focuses on increasing the awareness of depression, its signs and behaviours that may result in suicide in young people.
We Make Websites were approached to design and build a website to help raise awareness for the cause and also allow the team to track their progress in both training and throughout the cycle itself. We, of course, said yes, building the site free of charge and, in the process, creating a brand for the team.
- A creative, yet simple website to promote the cycle ride.
- A Blog to record their journey.
- Profile sections which each team member can update.
- Detailed route visualisation, integrated with GPSIES.
- A simple, effective logo which will be used both on the site and on the team jerseys.
- Designed and built free of charge as We Make Websites’ contribution to the cause.
