The Centre for Economic and Social Inclusion is the UK’s leading not-for-profit company dedicated to tackling disadvantage and promoting social inclusion in the labour market. Inclusion (as they are better known) have a particularly diverse product and service offering that includes research, policy, events management, online training, statistics / data analysis services and the authoring of several publications.
WeMakeWebsites were approached to completely redevelop the 5-year-old Inclusion website - both aesthetically and functionally.
Once of the major challenges of the project was organising content - the site large, but also very diverse, so the information architecture had to be rock solid to make navigating the site pain free. Another challenge was catering for Inclusion’s complex event booking needs, which included multiple price tiers, group bookings, multiple payment types and capturing attendee information such as dietary requirements. All of which had to be integrated with an in-house CRM system.
Other key requirements for the new site were providing paywall access, subscription services, a searchable publications library and online replication of Inclusion’s handbooks.
- Well structured content and navigation
- Caters for complex event booking requirements
- Paywall for restricted content
- Subscription services
- Searchable publications library
- Integration with in-house database
