Costa has been voted, for the third year in a row, the nation’s favourite coffee shop. They’re continually improving their products to ensure their customers always receive a perfect cup of coffee.
They support coffee-growing communities through the Costa Foundation, which provides those communities with better access to education and schools.
Costa wanted to experiment with selling the merchandise currently available in their coffee shops directly through an ecommerce website. We helped them realise that vision.
Costa’s aims for their new ecommerce website were:
To have an impressive online store designed to match the existing Costa Coffee website design and brand guidelines.
To prove the potential of ecommerce as an additional sales channel.
To launch the site in time for Christmas and to be online 100% during the Christmas sales period even with substantial traffic visiting the store.
What we delivered
It was Costa’s first time selling products online and we worked very closely with the team at Costa to ensure that all their needs were met.
The design of Costa’s ecommerce website was on brand and kept to the same style as their existing site. As it was a Christmas launch we added a few touches to make it feel a little more festive.
We also styled all the emails that are sent to customers from Shopify to match the Costa branding.
Back in Stock: The integration of this app lets customers know when items are back in stock by automatically displaying a form for them to leave their email address on items that aren’t available. The app will then email the customer automatically once the item is back in stock. Again, we styled the email to be in line with Costa’s branding.
Facebook store: As part of Shopify you can add a tab to your company Facebook page so you can sell directly to your fans without them having to leave Facebook.
