How to Get PayPal to Auto Return to Your Website After a Customer Payment

March 15, 2023

Auto return ensures that your customers are redirected back to your website after paying for their order via PayPal.

This process ensures buyers can return back to your page immediately and creates a consistent buying experience for the end user.

It also means that your analytics can fire and track the sale. If the customer does not return to your site after paying through PayPal, their purchase won't be logged in Google Analytics or any other analytics tools you have set up on your confirmation page.

Here's how you do it.

Log in and click the Profile menu item and then go to My Selling Preferences

You also need to enter a Return URL. Note, these should be to your checkout or order confirmation page. Your web developer should be able to help with this.

We hope that helps!
