Founded in 2015, Shogun is best known for its market-leading e-commerce page builder. In 2021, they launched Shogun Frontend: a lightning-fast frontend-as-a-service for headless commerce on Shopify.

Shogun Frontend was a new player in the headless field but was more than ready to prove its prowess. Trusting our Shopify expertise, Shogun commissioned us to build their own e-commerce store – using Shogun Frontend for the frontend and Shopify in the backend.

The Challenge

Shogun approached us needing a show-stopping demonstration website to help them pitch Shogun Frontend to the world. Using Shopify as the backend, the task was to create a slick, visually engaging swag store that showcased the impressive capabilities of their new product.

The Solution

Collaborating closely with the Shogun team, we created a high-performing, accessible, and visually rich store that perfectly highlights Shogun Frontend’s assets. The site is built as a progressive web app (PWA), providing sub-second loading times across all pages – even on mobile – while delivering an image-rich, interactive customer experience.

Off the back of their Shopify headless build, Shogun’s engineers certified us as their first Shogun Frontend agency partner. The opportunity to familiarize ourselves with Shogun’s new headless offering has made us all the more excited to deliver headless sites that empower brands to really focus on customer experience.
