Biggest Brands on Shopify

Holding an increasing amount of global e-commerce platform marketshare, Shopify and Shopify Plus are attracting many e-commerce big-hitters. More and more brands are migrating to the platform to sell online. Without further ado, here are the Shopify superstars.

Jigsaw

This high-street giant joins a growing list of premium fashion brands making the switch to Shopify Plus. A client of ours, we migrated them from Aptos retail and built them an online store that’s set to help them thrive.

Pangaia

Since launching in 2019, Pangaia's made waves in the sustainable fashion sector, churning out material innovations like there's no tomorrow. This brand is so much more than the colourful 2-pieces we see swarming our IG feeds. And they've scaled to become where they are now with Shopify Plus as their platform of choice (and us as their agency partner — check their case study).

Hasbro

World-famous toy retailer, Hasbro, chose Shopify Plus to power their DTC channel through a new e-commerce space, Hasbro Pulse. And the brand’s fans seem just as excited about the site as they are their toys! Get the details of this Shopify Plus project.

SkinnyDip

Launched in 2011 by Lewis Blitz and brothers James & Richard Gold, Skinnydip London has grown into a brand with over 100 concessions. Skinnydip sales rocketed after being stocked in leading global retailers including Selfridges, Nordstorm, ASOS & Topshop.

Pure Electric

Pure Electric are at the forefront of an exploding market, and now enjoy a foundation on Shopify Plus that’s ready to scale. We recently redesigned and rebuilt their store, including the creation of a slick product comparison tool — check it out!

Netflix

A recent entry to the e-commerce space is Netflix. Launching on Shopify Plus, they recently began offering limited-edition merchandise centered around popular Netflix shows. P.s. their store is also an example of Shopify’s new Online Store 2.0 in action.

Polaroid Originals

They might be synonymous with instant photography, but despite the digital revolution, this brand’s still very much thriving. In recent years, Polaroid has invested in technology and innovation on their product side, as well as their e-commerce channel, as they opted for Shopify Plus.

Gymshark

Gymshark is a fitness apparel and accessories brand, manufacturer & online retailer based in the United Kingdom, supported by over 3 million highly engaged social media followers and customers in 131 countries.

Fitbit

Since pioneering the fitness-tracker market in 2007, Fitbit quickly became a market leader. Now set up on Shopify Plus, this brand is even better poised to capture the growing demand of the wearables market.

The Economist

The Economist online offers an authoritative insight and opinions on international news, politics, business, finance, science and technology. The e-commerce store stocks a range of Economist printed and audio books, as well as a range of office stationary and diaries.

BBC

The public service broadcaster’s branded merch store pulled the plug on M1 in a switch to the world’s smoothest, most flexible platform: Shopify Plus. Get the details on this replatforming project.

Clarks

Clarks was established many moons ago. They’ve gone from humble beginnings of 1820’s Somerset, to become an iconic name in the footwear industry that’s renowned worldwide. Their Canadian e-commerce store specifically continues to thrive, powered by Shopify Plus.

Heinz

The 150 year old food giant's first direct-to-consumer offering, powered by Shopify Plus.

Red Bull

Red Bull is the highest-selling energy drink in the world, and the product is marketed through advertising, events, sports team ownerships, celebrity endorsements, and music, through its record label Red Bull Records. Their online store stocks official Red Bull related products, such as hats, t-shirts, backpacks, jackets and more.

Lindt

Another name to join the Shopify Plus family is the mouth-wateringly good chocolatier, Lindt. Turning to this platform amidst COVID-19, the brand was desperate to get selling online. Shopify Plus made for a speedy time-to-launch and got them set up in no time.

Budweiser

Another major player is legacy beer company, Budweiser. They sell a range of merchandise including barware and clothing, from their Shopify Plus-based store, ‘Shop Beer Gear’.

SKIMS

Kim K’s highly-coveted shapewear brand, Skims, is another one thriving on this platform. The brand joins a long list of celebrities using Shopify Plus to power their businesses, and Kim K isn’t the only Kardashian on it.

TOAST

TOAST creates simple and modern clothing and homewares, alongside TOAST Magazine editorial, for “a more thoughtful way of life”. We upgraded their e-commerce channel to a new Shopify Plus store that’s packed full of customizations. Learn more on their case study: TOAST on Shopify Plus.

ColourPop

ColourPop, founded in 2014, was born and raised in the City of Angels. Created by Seed Beauty, the brand prides themselves on being wallet friendly and cruelty free. Their Shopify store is packed full of lipsticks in every colour imaginable.

Kylie Cosmetics

The cosmetic queen of Kardashian fame recently sold out her new eyeshadow palette within 2 minutes. With 11 million followers on Twitter and an outstanding 82 million followers on Instagram, Shopify easily handled the flood of traffic serving up makeup to her loyal army of fans.

Good American

Good American are a clothing line at the forefront of the body positivity movement and retailing through Shopify. The brand was born out of a conversation between Khloe Kardashian and Emma Grede about what it means to be a modern-day woman.

KKW BeautyKim Kardashian had a busy year in 2017 after launching her own cosmetic line to rival her sister, Kylie. She came bursting on to the beauty scene with her two brands KKW Beauty and KKW Fragrance and it came as no surprise that products sold out in minutes on launch day.

Totême

Totême’s minimalist ready-to-wear is adored by editors, celebrities, and global customers alike. We recently took the brand from WooCommerce to Shopify Plus and gave them a best-in-class online store that conveys the ‘Totême-feel’. Read more, in their case study: Totême on Shopify Plus.

Steve Madden

Whilst much of this billion-dollar brand’s revenue comes from their wholesale offering, they still invest in their own DTC channel. That’s why they migrated from a legacy e-commerce platform to Shopify Plus.

Alessi

Italian kitchenware giant, Alessi, replatformed from Magento to Shopify Plus in early 2020. The site, quite like their famous products, brings the perfect balance of form and function. Carrying out their migration, we wrote up a case study to tell you more: Alessi on Shopify Plus.

Pixi

Now this is a beauty brand that’s achieved cult status. Pixi products see innovative formulations infused with botanicals and beneficial ingredients, selling online through Shopify.

Deliveroo (rider store)

Global food delivery service, Deliveroo, streamlined their rider-kit and packaging stores upon moving to Shopify Plus. Their packaging store serves Deliveroo branded kit to partnering restaurants, whilst their rider-kit store offers all the necessary kit to keep their riders warm and happy.

Missoma

You’ve probably spotted their pieces adorning all the celebrity photos cropping up on your Insta feed. Contemporary jewellery brand, Missoma, are making waves in the jewellery market and driving their online business through Shopify Plus.

Lauren Conrad Beauty

High‑profile celebrity, Lauren Conrad, sought to put her long‑time passion for makeup into a beauty business, as she planned to launch her namesake brand, Lauren Conrad Beauty. We worked closely with their team to bring this vision to life, taking Lauren Conrad Beauty to market, on Shopify Plus.

Emma Bridgewater

Emma Bridgewater is a beautiful, classic modern pottery brand who believe everyday kitchen china should be at the heart of everyone’s life. Emma Bridgewater aims to make pottery for people to reflect on shared moments as we eat and drink together. The brand's e-commerce now blossoms on Shopify Plus. David Beckham Eyewear

The stunning new label, DB Eyewear by David Beckham, recently launched to market through Shopify Plus. The star’s brand combines effortless British style and attitude with a timeless, vintage spirit and a sharp focus on detail and functionality.

Victoria Beckham

The former Spice Girl’s critically acclaimed fashion brand has become a huge player in the luxury market. Taking its ready-to-wear collections around the world, Victoria Beckham power their e-commerce through Shopify Plus.

Bulletproof

Bulletproof offer high performance food, drink & supplements. They're on a mission to help people to perform better, think faster, and live better by using tech, ancient knowledge, research and science. Bulletproof are environmentally conscious and sell their ethically sourced products online in order to build a sustainable future in the fitness and health industry—all through Shopify Plus. Penguin Books

Penguin Books are a brand long rooted in British publishing history, bringing literature and joy to many generations. Founded in 1935, it is one of the largest English-language publishers and is part of the "Big Five" international publishing houses.

Lazy Oaf

Inspired by youth nostalgia, teenage rebellion and a spirit of non-conformity, Lazy Oaf create irreverent streetwear collections and retail online through Shopify Plus.

Rebecca Minkoff

Rebecca Minkoff is an incredible global brand offering a huge range of apparel, handbags, footwear, jewelry, watches and accessories, as well as men’s accessories under the label Uri Minkoff. Rebecca is extra inspiring because she is not only incorporating tech into her products, but in September of 2018, Rebecca launched a Female Founder Collective. This is a network of businesses led by women that invests in women’s financial power across the socio-economic spectrum.

Mavi

Mavi is a global jeans-wear brand, featuring lots and lots of denim. Founded in 1991, based in Istanbul, Turkey, the company manufactures jeans for both young women and men, The also have subsidiaries in the USA, Canada, Germany, Netherlands, Russia and Australia.

Outdoor Voices

Activewear label, Outdoor Voices, is the brand behind the super-chill hashtag #DoingThings. But how’re they doing e-commerce? Through Shopify, of course. Check it out.

MVMT Watches

Founders, Kramer LaPlante and Jake Kassan dropped out of College to pursue their dream of starting up a Watch brand. Today their website boasts a supply of premium on-trend watches and accessories, designed at their headquarters in LA.

Cluse Watches

With an international Shopify Plus architecture calling their global audience, Dutch watch-brand, Cluse, moved on from Magento. Their e-commerce now operates through Shopify Plus, with an online store that makes their audience tick. Read more about Cluse replatforming from Magento.

Allbirds

It’s the sneaker line renowned for being uber-comfy, easy-to-wear, and environmentally-friendly. With a cult following and sell-out launches, Allbirds are taking leaps and bounds, DTC through Shopify Plus.

Bombas

Bombas was born because it’s co-founders wanted to make an impact on their community in the U.S. They design and sell funky pairs of socks and for every pair of socks purchased, Bombas donate a pair to someone in need.

The socks they donate aren’t the same socks customers can buy: they engineered a sock to specifically meet the needs of people who don't have the luxury of putting on a clean pair of socks every day. And use an anti-microbial treatment which means they don't need to be washed as often, and their reinforced seams and darker colors give them greater durability with less visible wear. Absolutely genius.

Sir The Label

SIR is a contemporary women’s wear label that delivers a collection of minimal and simplistic wardrobe essentials and feminine silhouettes.

Harper Collins

HarperCollins is one of the biggest and most popular global book publishers in the world, with a hugely vast catalogue of cutting-edge contemporary fiction to award-winning apps and everything in between.

Today, HarperCollins UK publishes around 1,000 books a year. Including worldwide bestsellers such as Booker Prize winner Hilary Mantel, writer of Wolf Hall and Bring Up The Bodies, Professor Brian Cox, Lorraine Pascale and Lena Dunham.

Triangl Bikini

It’s the brand responsible for the distinctive colour-blocked, black-trimmed bikinis that became ubiquitous some 10 years ago. Aussi swimwear label, Triangl, have also taken to Shopify Plus—spreading summer vibes around the world.

Alexa Chung

Style icon, Alexa Chung, channeled her eye for fashion into a clothing business, launching eponymous label, Alexa Chung in 2017. Since starting out on Magento, the brand migrated to Shopify Plus.

Cravings by Chrissy T

Cravings by Chrissy Teigen is way more than your average cookware brand. They offer cookbooks, kitchenware, and even silky-soft robes to sling on for those cozy nights in. Their Shopify Plus store is headless too.

Staples

Stationary giant, Staples, is the largest office products supplier to Canada’s small business and home-office markets. As they sought to transform their online experience, they looked to Shopify Plus. They also went headless with their new store, too (we round up a whole list of headless Shopify stores here).

Clare

DTC paint company, Clare, looks to make paint-shopping easier than ever. Their headless Shopify Plus store features a neat little Genius Colour Quiz designed to ease purchasing decisions.
